It’s been a busy and hot summer here at Fortitude Skis headquarters as production continues and our inventory accumulates. Our 3500 sq/ft shop has started to feel small with the growth of our crew reaching seven full time employees and four full time dogs. As summer comes to an end and the grom’s and interns head back to school, we couldn’t be more excited for the start of the season. Nights have begun to cool off and ski film teasers have filled our dreams with thoughts of backcountry booters and endless fields of POW.
We are stoked to introduce two new skis to our line for the 2012/13 season—The Propeller and the Lincoln Mogul. The Propeller is a new design that deems to push what is truly possible in the sport as its camber underfoot, early rise and 5 cm taper in tip and tail will allow you to crush the entire mountain. The Lincoln Mogul seeks to challenge the traditional mogul ski design and lack of style with its modern design, early rise and the radest looking mogul topsheet on the market. Visit both our skis and tech page to get complete information on our entire line.
Over the last few months some of our riders have had the opportunity to take advantage of year around skiing as we have sent skis north to Whistler, west to Mt. Hood and south to Argentina. We have received extremely positive feedback and are stoked for the opportunity to get more people on our skis through early season demos. Our first formal demo of the season will be held during Copper Mountain’s Demo Days taking place in Mid November—more details on this to come at a future date.
As the count down for winter continues and a small section of our shop turns into a dry land training area we encourage you to get in a daily workout—it will pay off when your passing people on the hike to the back bowl in search of the perfect line.
